Quincy Bay Flounder
Quincy, Massachusetts was once known as the flounder capital of the world. Anglers from all over arrived in buses, renting livery boats filling buckets each spring during the 1970’s and early 80’s. The fishery nearly collapsed due to pollution and over fishing during the 90’s and since then the winter flounder has made a remarkable return. These fish can be landed in both the Quincy, MA area and outside the harbors of Green Harbor and Scituate. Fishing for winter flounder is fun using light tackle and sea worms as bait.
The fish are usually in shallow water making it easy for children as well. Your catch will be filleted for you to take home at the end of the trip where you can bake, broil or fry the delicate white fillets. All tackle, bait and chum will be included in your charter fare.
